In Salesforce’s Spring ‘24 Release, it was announced that the long-awaited Einstein Copilot would be arriving to Salesforce in February 2024. This generative AI chatbot is designed to work across the entire Salesforce product suite, helping your business make more informed decisions that will improve customer experience.

As a personal assistant, Einstein Copilot will sit in the CRM app and respond instinctively to any user queries. This goes as far as gathering personalized data from across the ecosystem to give you informative answers to questions based on a specific client. This revolutionary tool is likely to shape your Salesforce experience for years to come. But how does it work?

How Copilot Works

Conversations with most AI tools can often leave you with more questions than answers. While it may be able to respond to certain basic questions, delving deeper into specifics may just leave you misinformed, or without any substantial response at all.

To enhance your AI experience, Einstein Copilot aims to trump its competitors by allowing users to customize how it works and responds. Powered by Prompt Builder, you can create and manage natural language prompts that can be used to interact with Einstein Copilot in the front end. Accessing this tool means all the information being delivered is reliable and accurate, as it is technically being engineered by the admin.

In addition, you can test out how your prompt works in the playground environment, allowing you a space to trial and error your responses!

How Prompt Builder Works

Salesforce Prompt Builder is a new feature in Salesforce that was also announced in the Spring ‘24 release, which lets you create prompts to generate personalized content. These prompts are like short questions you ask Salesforce to make content for you, such as personalized emails, social media posts, or website pages.

Instead of giving users a blank slate like ChatGPT, it uses templates for specific situations, like “Write an introduction email to this customer” or “Write a follow-up email to this case”.

It’s a powerful tool for enhancing customer engagement and sales, but it’s important to use it ethically and ensure the generated content is accurate and non-discriminatory.

How Copilot Works for You

As aforementioned, Einstein Copilot works across our ecosystem and is natively integrated into every Salesforce application. So how might Einstein Copilot work for you?

For Sales, Copilot can:

  • Research accounts
  • Automatically summarize highlights
  • Surface customer sentiment
  • Auto-generate emails that fit your tone and style
  • Automatically draft clauses and embed them in customer contracts

For Service, Copilot can:

  • Automatically respond to customers with relevant company knowledge
  • Resolve customer issues using fast generative answers

  • Create website landing pages based on browsing and buying preferences
  • Create contact forms that automatically populate each customer’s unified profile in Salesforce
  • Automatically generate surveys following online actions to increase long-term engagement and purchasing

For Commerce, Copilot can:

  • Provide step-by-step assistance to build high-converting digital storefronts
  • Automate complex tasks like managing multi-product catalog data
  • Create product descriptions in multiple languages
  • personalized product promotions
  • SEO metadata generation that drives conversions

For Developers, Copilot can:

  • Turn natural language prompts into Apex code
  • Suggest more effective and accurate code
  • Scan for code vulnerabilities

For Tableau, Copilot can:

  • Build relevant visualizations based on best practices
  • Automate repetitive tasks
  • Promote efficient data curation
  • Perform faster data exploration

Summary

Since its announcement in September, many businesses have been waiting patiently for this revolutionary AI tool to be released, and that long wait is almost over.

A spokesperson from Salesforce has said both Prompt Builder and Einstein Copilot are likely to be made available in late February, alongside some news regarding product GA coming up very soon. This is slightly later than the 12th February date in the blog post below, but regardless, you won’t need to wait long to get your hands on these groundbreaking features.

The limitless possibilities that come with Copilot are destined to improve the productivity of businesses and how they interact with customers going forward.
