Salesforce has launched a marketplace and community for Agentforce, which they call AgentExchange.
The new product, which is built into Salesforce, builds on the idea of the cloud giant’s AppExchange marketplace.
What Is Salesforce AgentExchange?
Salesforce says that AgentExchange is launching with more than 200 initial partners and hundreds of ready-made actions, topics, and templates.
The cloud giant says these have passed “rigorous security and customer reviews”.
These solutions are intended to help organizations rapidly create and deploy AI agents to improve productivity, efficiency, and innovation across all industries.
Salesforce name-drops partners that they say are already building Agentforce components for AgentExchange, including Google Cloud, Box, DocuSign, and Workday.
Brian Landsman, EVP and GM of Global Business Development and Partnerships at Salesforce, said: “When we launched AppExchange in 2005, it helped our customers get even more value from our platform with prebuilt apps, workflows, and integrations. It also gave our partners an opportunity to participate in the emerging cloud economy and build thriving businesses.”
“With AgentExchange, we’re doing much the same – opening up Agentforce for partners, startups, and Agentblazers to participate in the digital labor market and build agentic AI on Salesforce.”
AgentExchange is available today at agentexchange.salesforce.com.
New AgentExchange and Agentforce Features
Salesforce has announced a number of new features for Agentforce and AgentExchange.
Partners and ‘Agentblazers’ can now offer four types of agentic components, which are:
- Actions: New integrations ranging from Apex, Flows, APIs, and prompts can be used to tailor industry-specific components and expand the jobs agents can do.
- Prompt Templates: You can use pre-written, reusable prompts which make sure interactions are consistent and help agents achieve specific goals.
- Topics: Group actions and agent instructions around a single task or job to make sure the AI delivers consistent results and stays within guardrails.
- Agent Templates: Combine multiple topics and use actions partners have created, complete with metadata and global instructions which span across topics.
Salesforce says that AgentExchange simplifies the process of finding and deploying the right kind of AI solutions, with customers able to explore solutions directly on the marketplace or within Salesforce’s Agent Builder tool.
Partners and Agentblazers can also offer out-of-the-box Agentforce actions, including Slack, in packaged Agentforce topics and templates on the AgentExchange.
These empower partner-delivered agents with built-in CRM and Slack capabilities, including creating a case, updating a Slack canvas, canceling an order, searching Slack, and sending direct messages.
AgentExchange also connects businesses with expert Salesforce partners across a number of specific industries, meaning businesses can implement pre-built, customizable solutions which tackle unique problems, the cloud giant says.
Salesforce says that AgentExchange also fosters a collaborative ecosystem where partners, businesses and individuals can connect, share best practices, and innovate together.
Alice Steinglass, EVP and GM of Platform, Integration, and Automation at Salesforce, said: “AgentExchange empowers customers to seamlessly integrate trusted AI solutions within their workflow.”
“Now our developer community can directly tap the expertise of our partner ecosystem to get the right industry-specific solutions so they can build and implement AI agents, and be the pioneers in turning their businesses into Agentforce companies.”
Goodyear CEO and President Mark Stewart said: “Accelerating our speed of execution is critical to Goodyear’s ability to deliver for our customers and maximize our end-to-end value proposition.”
“We’re excited about the potential of the ready-to-use solutions from AgentExchange to enhance our speed, efficiency, and customer experience.”
Final Thoughts
Fostering a sense of community is sometimes cited as one of Salesforce’s great strengths, helping to create not just a collection of customers and partners, but a real “ecosystem”.
With its hard pivot towards agentic AI in recent months, it’s perhaps no surprise that the mothership wants to recycle its previous hits – like AppExchange – for the age of AI, encouraging collaboration and adoption of its flagship product, Agentforce.
